Stuff-O-Rama

I'll get this right out of the way right now. Today I have a video called "Take Me To The River" which is a song by Al Green on the television show Soul Train.

I still can't believe it that Adrian Peterson ran an NFL regular-season record 296 yards. I mean, that was unbelieveable!!

I also have a video that when a Mazda MX7 crashed at 215 mph. I can't put it on there because when I put 2 videos on the same post, my internet service goes really slow.. I have AT&T :(

Here's a deal: I'll put the crashing Mazda next week, okay?

Michigan also plays Wisconsin in college football tomorrow. I hope Michigan wins and if they do, they'll have a regular season record of 9-2. I hope they can make it to 10 wins this year after losing miserably in the 1st two games of this year to Appalachian State and Oregon.

That's it for today!! Have an awesome weekend!!!

The Celtics Are Like The Patriots. One Word: UNSTOPPABLE

The Boston Celtics are ON FIRE this year. Compared to last year, they hadn't won a single game but now they've won all of their games with the good players of Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and James Posey.

Last night when the Celtics were playing the Denver Nuggets, Boston had a 39 point lead at halftime. Now that's unbelieveable!!!

One question, though. Will the Celtics win an NBA Championship ring?? Wait until the end of the season to find out if they even make the playoffs.

Going to Diamonds Baseball Club

I've never been able to tell you this but I am going to Diamonds Baseball Club for the last time in the offseason of baseball. Hopefully, I can go again this year in the offseason or maybe next year.

I'd really like a free pass for 2 years to go to Diamonds, though.

When I'm there, I might get a t-shirt and I'll be able to pitch right next to my cousin, Ross.

Wish me luck!

Notes From The Weekend

Michigan won!!! Pistons won!!! The New England Patriots also pulled one off against the Indianapolis Colts. I still can't believe that win!!!

That's practically all I have to say. Oh, and I don't do much with auto racing but Jimmie Johnson pulled one off with a decent pass over Matt Kenseth.

Johnson was won a few races in a row. Is he stoppable...

Plus, Kevin Harvick won the Busch Series race and Carl Edwards won the championship in the Busch Series by leading the points standings.

Busch Series over, Nextel Cup has 2 races remaining. Will Jimmie Johnson win another won in a row? Tune in Sunday to find out!

Stuff-O-Rama

Sorry I haven't been able to post for a while. I was real busy with a lot of things and halloween!!!

Also, this is late but, congratulations to the Boston Red Sox on winning the 2007 World Series pennant. Thank god that happened!

BIG NEWS ON THE TIGERS: First off, Gorkys Hernandez and Jair Jurrjens were waived from Detroit to get the greatest shortstop probably in all of Major League Baseball, Edgar Renteria.

Let's see. If Renteria is going to be starting shortstop, Carlos Guillen will be moved to 1st base and that leaves Sean Casey. Where's he going?

He's now done with the Tigers and is now a free agent.

Joel Zumaya's shoulder surgery will interfere with the 2008 season. Zoom Zoom will miss the 1st part only of next year.

Good thing he isn't out for the whole season...

Today for my YouTube video of the day, I'd like to show you something called "Wizard Angst" from the series The Potter Puppet Pals.

Remember when I showed you "The Mysterious Ticking Noise" from the Potter Puppet pals a while ago. Well, this is the same concept only a different video.

The Rockies Are In The Hole

Colorado gets thumped again even AT HOME! The team is in jeopardy but I guess you could also say that Boston is definitely going to win the World Series!!!

I'm so happy!! But one thing, the Rockies could come back. There a tough team, you know.

Stuff-O-Rama

In addition to today's "Stuff-O-Rama" post, I'll start talking about the Red Sox and the Colorado Rockies.

I'm so happy I could cry! The Red Sox won the 2nd game of the World Series last night 2-1. I just can't believe.

Red Sox are going to win the World Series pennant for sure!!!

I just had a good idea. I should print the New York Yankees logo and draw BIG red lines through it and tape it to my shirt. Wouldn't that be cool to have. I'm sure it would.

And you should check out Diamonds Sports Training Academy but too bad it's in Wyoming, Michigan (that's near where I live).

If you live around the Wyoming area and you haven't gone their, you should. It's a load of fun!

Today's YouTube Video Day is scheduled once more and today I have something today called "The Closest Finish in NASCAR history."

The margin of this victory was .002 seconds. The drivers were Ricky Craven (32) and Kurt Busch (97). You'll have to watch and see who wins.

If you know who won, it doesn't really matter, does it?

Absolutely Unbelieveable

Didn't you hear, the Red Sox hosed the Colorado Rockies in the 1st game of the World Series 13-1?!?!?!?

I just can't believe that. The Rockies can sweep the Phillies and the mighty Arizona Diamondbacks but they can't sweep the Red Sox?! I'm surprised.

Oh, the Red Sox are going to win this World Series...

BOSTON'S GOING TO THE WORLD SERIES!!!!!!

I can't believe it!! The Red Sox win the American League pennant by beating the Cleveland Indians in the 2007 ALCS from behind win. They were actually down 3-1. I thought Boston was gone!!!

But it's a miracle!!! I can't wait for the World Series!!

Answering My Dad's Questions

I know I didn't warn you about this but my dad was kind enough to answer some questions I wanted to answer.

That's what I like about my dad. He always takes the liberty to take some time out of his life to do special things for me.

I know I do this a lot but when I have really nothing to talk about, I just decide to answer questions from my readers or my family. Today I decided to answer my dad's questions. But I will only do this occansionally for your information. Just something to tell you about.

And yes, I love my dad!

I have a few questions, 8 to be exact, and for you dad, I'll try to answer them with all the explanation I can.

So without further ado, I present to you...

Evan's Sports Machine: Answering My Dad's Questions

But before I start, I have a combination of questions most of them are sports questions. Other ones are you know... not sports questions. You'll just have to read this post if you want to see what other questions there are.

So here I go.

When did you start this blog?

Well I can remember that. It was over 1 year, and 3 months ago, in July 2006. I'll have to check my blog and see what day in July I started Evan's Sports Machine.

What made you start your blog?

I was with you and the whole family on spring break in Myrtle Beach remember, dad? Anyways, when we were driving back to Byron Center on that painful 16 hour drive and we stopped at a gas station and I bought a Sports Illustrated magazine.

No need to know the price, right?

A few days after we got home from South Carolina I was reading the magazine and I saw a bunch of sports blogs e.g. Deadspin.com.

Then I saw this Minnesota Twins blog (yeah, you know him, Aaron Gleeman) and I wanted to see what it looked like.

I read his blog and I thought about having a blog. I asked my dad and he said a definite yes! That's the start of this blog, Evan's Sports Machine.

You know, this is my favorite website so far. Evan's Sports Machine will go on forever!!! (I hope.) :)

What do the Tigers need to do in the offseason to make it to the playoffs next year?

I thought "tough question" when my dad asked me this. But I figured it out..

There's a couple Tigers' players (example: Brandon Inge) need a couple areas to improve on. Remember, nobody's perfect.

That's my answer: improvement on a couple areas for each player. Plus, Jim Leyland is back this year again. He's doing good so far and he might lead the Tigers to being the 2008 World Series Champions.

How do you see the Pistons doing this year?

They look hot, they look fierce, they look like they could be NBA Finals Champions once more.

Chauncey and the whole team looks in good shape. It's the NBA Finals or bust for the Pistons in the 2008 season this year.

Who was the MVP for the Tigers this year (in your opinion)? Why?

Obviously Maggs. Why? Because he led the American League in batting average. Got a batting title :), lead the Tigers in home-runs and probably but I'm not positive in RBIs

But here are honorable mentions for the Detroit Tigers' MVP award: Curtis Granderson, Placido Polanco, Carlos Guillen, Jair Jurrjens.

Will the Lions make the playoffs this year?

Let me think about it, no. They won't because they still have a couple tough teams on their schedule this year and if they did make the playoffs, they would get clobbered by the Patriots, Colts or Cowboys.

Not this year, Detroit.

The New England Patriots are undefeated so far. Will they go undefeated throughout the whole season?

That's also a no. I don't think any NFL team has gone undefeated before and it seems like Tom Brady is unstoppable. Well, technically he is with receivers Dante Stallworth and Randy Moss, guys with good hands.

But I think, some point in this season, they're going to lose at least 1 game. But not today, they play the Miami Dolphins who haven't won a single game this season.

And for the last question...

What's something nobody knows about you?

Well I'm glad I didn't choose a real personal one. But something you didn't know about me is that I hate pickles but I actually LIKE THE RELISH on my hamburgers and hot dogs sometimes.

I just had a (homemade) hamburger with pickle relish on it along side with the regular condements you know, ketchup and mustard.

Also, I usually have onions on my hamburger and occasionally some lettuce on the hamburger but my dad probably didn't know where the lettuce was. And I just didn't feel like having onions yesterday.

That's it! Also the Red Sox go into a GAME 7 at Fenway Park tonight after a 12-2 win last night. They were down 3-1 and all of a sudden, they roar back.

I hope they make it to the World Series and beat the Rockies!!! Good luck tonight Boston! I'll be watching you tonight.

Stuff-O-Rama

You know I already said that Joe Torre is no longer the Yankees manager? If not, read the whole story by clicking here.

Also Boston is lucky enough to stay alive in the 2007 ALCS against the Cleveland Indians.

Kevin Youkilis was at his best by hitting a home-run in the top of the 1st after Dustin Pedroia grounded out. Youk also hit a triple in that game as well. And Josh Beckett made C.C. Sabathia look bad.

But, Boston needs to work a little more harder if they want to make it to the World Series to play the hot Colorado Rockies.

Next matchup is Fausto Carmona (uh-oh) for the Indians. On the other hand, Curt Schilling will be pitching for Boston.

And do you know what time it is??

Remember when I promised I'd give you Hot Dog Job: Part 2 last Friday when I showed Hot Dog Job: Part 1 from Klay World?

Well, this is your chance to see part 2 of Klay World: Hot Dog Job. This one is funny also.

And plus, it's the weekend tomorrow! I'll be doing my college football picks again. See you on Saturday!

BREAKING NEWS: JOE TORRE DECLINES CONTRACT

I can't believe it!!! Joe Torre declined a 1 year/$5 million contract with the Yankees. Read the full story by clicking here.

George Steinbrenner and Joe Torre had a good time working together for the Yankees for a dozen years.

Goodbye Joe.

Big Game Tonight

The Red Sox are in jeopardy. If Cleveland wins tonight, they're off to play the Rockies in the World Series. The Red Sox face Cleveland's ace, C.C. Sabathia.

Are you going to watch it? Defenitley I am!!

More Baseball

It's over for the Diamondbacks if you didn't hear it. The Rockies are going to the World Series, when they weren't even supposed to make it into the playoffs.

Also Cleveland has taken a 2-1 lead over the Red Sox. Like I said, Boston is my 2nd favorite baseball team and I want them to go to the World Series just like I did with the Tigers last year.

For the Red Sox, Tim Wakefield (the knuckleballer) pitches against Cleveland's own Paul Byrd.

Good matchup I guess you could say.

The Red Sox also need some luck here. If the Indians are going to win tonight, Boston will have a very unlikely chance of winning.

Good luck Boston!!!

Dusty Baker Agrees To Manage Cincinnati

I don't believe it. I thought Baker was never going to manage again after a bad season with the Chicago Cubs. Now he signs a 3 year deal to become the Cincinnati Reds' new manager.

But how good will Cincinnati be???
